5 Croft-years have gone...Time for another step forward.......
Croft`s Take A Chance On Me " Theo" 2010

Kennel Croft was first registered in 2004, and accepted in FCI 2005, asked for by Arnhild & Charles.
Arnhild started in Shelties in 1986, and first litter on breed-term, was born in 1987. She asked from 1990 the prefix Sheltibo. She grew up with hunting-dogs of different kinds. Dunker, Sweitzer Støver and Finnish Støver.
Charles started with Drentsche Patrijshond in 1980 in Holland, and later he became a sheltiebreeder, since 1992 .
In 2005 he imported a Drentsche Patrijshond to Norway, then the only one.
Today many, many litters and generations are born since the beginning, and
the success has been unbelieveable the last years especially since 6 frinds started working together.
Late 2004 Janne & Kjell purchased a male-dog from Crofts ,2 nd.litter under the new prefix. His name is
N DK uch Croft`s Brown Sugar. He was
ordered as a pet only. Kjell`s parents were dogbreeders under the affix Kjanto,
and he definately did not want any showing or breeding. Janne was earlier
a pet-owner in miniatures, so they were not unexperienced in dogs. They wanted
just a companion at their small farm. The reality became
quite different. They were very soon active in showing and breeding
shelties, and became co-owners in Kennel Croft in 2008, together with Arnhild and
Charles, and best friends.
In
early June 2009 it was decided that Torkild & Wenche Tangen in Kristiansand,
would join the prefix Croft`s. Wenche is Kjell`s sister, and they
owned the affix Of Kjanto. Heritated from their parents and then in
Collies. Since they already owned 2 Croft bitches, and they too
became our best friends, it was a
pleasure to have them in our small gang.
Janne & Kjell, Wenche & Torkild have been driving hundreds of miles to shows. Arnhild & Charles
have the latest 2 years been breeders and showing only a little. As Kennel
Croft became Breeders Of the Year in 2008 & also 2009, it is
Janne/Kjell/Wenche & Torkild to thank for this.
In 2010 the adventure continues, Croft is still on top of the list in Norway. The amount of dogs is still very small, and we are all grateful to them and to everyone contributing to the success. Today Charles lives in Sweden with his Drent & will later have shelties also. Arnhild Lives in Norway East and are only in shelties. Janne & Kjell still goes on in Norway West. Wenche and Torkild in Norway South!
New, lovely litters are on the way late 2010 and 2011.
7-8 th generation from the beginning see daylight these days, and strong bitchlines are the most important tool in our breeding.
Our challenge in the future will be to keep up the good, winning Croft-type that is set. We will all work hard for this.
